Author: A local doctor arrested during illegal drug investigation is pleading guilty to charges today.
The Drug Enforcement Administration had served several search warrants at the home and doctors office of 67 year old Milton Brindley of Augusta in June of 2007. They also had searched the Reynolds Pharmacy next door and also his son’s home.
Investigators are saying Brindley had distributed the powerful painkillers hydrocone and oxycodone pills to people who were not even his patients without insurance in their home. Investigators say Brindley made roughly $592,000. He also had allegedly traded medication for sexual acts and also pornography.
Shocking since Brindley had been practicing medicine for over 36 years prior to this arrest.
